Last Sunday we held a 9 ball tourney on the bar boxes. The winner Justin Hall took home $375 and the calcutta had another $140 for first. we had a paltry 14 players show up! Included were Howard Vickery and Wade Crane, both IPT members that failed to make it to the big $$$
We are thinking about moving it to the 9 footers next month and make it 8 ball with IPT rules (except cloth and pocket size) will again be $40 entry with $5 going to green fees.
The question I have is as follows... I feel we should invoke some type of handicap to it. In this town ( Bradenton) we have over 50, 5 person Valley teams, and although they play on the small tables we hope many may cross over. Can anyone suggest a valid method to handicap this?? I was thinking women get 1 or 2 on the wire, and lesser knowns get 1 game. Any help and suggestions including if you would be interested in playing are appreciated
