I'm from upstate NY and I am going to Florida on vacation. I was wondering what pool halls are in the area so I can shoot or compete. I am going to a town called Brooksville which is about an hour north of Tampa. I will be in Florida Sunday April 6th through Wednesday April 9th. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in Tampa.

Big O"s on Dale Mabry, Breakroom on Gunn Hwy, Six Pockets/Peabodies on Bruce B. Downs, Bull's Club on Fowler to name a few... All the places I mentioned have at least 10 tables. All are 9 footers.

Depending on what type of action you are looking for I could narrow it down for you.

You will be close to Springhill. Go to Capones without a doubt. Dont waste your time driving to Tampa. There ain't much down here anymore.

capones is definitely the best bet.

wtf is in brooksville besides some dumpy ass old trailers? Who goes on vacation to brooksville.....

I was in Planet 9-Ball (Now Strokers II) yesterday and the place was looking GREAT. All re-painted and 6 new plasma TVs. It should be open for business VERY soon now.

That is great news Doug. I can't wait. I sold plasma when I was in college, and I never knew about the TV's.

Capones is the best if you don't want to drive very far. If you come down US 19 then you will hit Hammer Heads in New Port Richey and eventually Strokers in Palm Harbor. There is really good competition at any of those 3 locations and atleast 10 other pool halls in the Clearwater area.

Yes I can't wait for Strokers II to open up, Jose does a great job.

Thanks, I'll do my best to stop by as many as I can. Family is in Brooksville and not in a trailer. Are there any Diamond tables in the area. Not that it matters, but I figured I might go the extra mile. Thanks again for all the responses.

Hammer Heads in New Port Richey has all Diamond tables and the place is fairly new. It's not that far from where you will be. I'm not sure what is at Capones, I haven't been there in a while.

last time i checked capones had a diamond from the ipt, i think its where corey deuel practices and they have 10 gold crown 4's

Capones is a few miles west of 41 on County Line rd, great tables whether you play on the gold crowns or the diamond!
