What part of Florida has the greatest concentration of big table rooms (within 25 miles of each other) that have good players/events/action. Are there any near Ft. Lauderdale or Miami or is there a better part of the state for competition?

I would have to say that northern fl has the better group of known players. Im in south florida and the west palm to ft lauderdale are there are some pretty decent players not to may well known. Mizeraks in North Palm usually has some greats, Mizerak is in there all the time and has people stopping in all the time. The one I used to play at usually doesnt have big name players but it does have big name cuemakers like dennis searing playing all the time. Florida in general has some pretty big name players and cuemakers anywhere you go

You think Wheeler is better than Viera? Wheeler has done pretty good on the KBP Tour this year but I heard talk that he might be banned from it next year because he does too well on the pro tour. Aquino will most likely have to switch to the pro tour too. Unless of course KBP wants to stop being an Amateur tour and become an Open tour.
Northern florida does have some strong players, but some of them will go south to play at times, so could be found down there from time to time also. Most of the good players will play all over the state anyhow.

Yes Sherm, I sure have, He was a heck of a player in is day huh? I'm sure your no stranger to hitting them well yourself If you ran with him in his hayday. Have'nt been up there in quite some time, but I have had the pleasure of meeting David & Rick sometime ago. Me and My Dad use to go up there sometimes, but as I said, been a long time. I spent the day time hours in there one time, everyday for a couple of weeks straight, when My girlfriend at the time's dad was in the hospital up there. I'd go in David's place and hit a few balls each day, and chew the fat with Him & Rick, and help rick work on the tables.
It's been a long time, and dought they would even remember us, but My Dad always liked David for the fact that He always took time out to talk with Us. He could be walking out to his car, about to open the door to leave when We pulled up, and he'd walk back in to talk with Us. He Seemed like a good guy, that really loved the sport. I'm only a few minutes south of Jax, so alot of people I know, know Him also.

I also had an event at another room in Jacksonville at Bank Shot Billiards that was great. I don't really know who plays out of there but its a great room with a very nice room owner.
