Florida Pro Tour Championships

Well the Florida Pro Tour is having their final tournament of the year today and tomorrow in Palm harbor and evidently no one cares. No mention of it on this board. No brackets. And these are the pros playing. Should have a lot of top players there.

$15,000 added.

No wonder pool is dead. The pros play and they can't get any coverage. I suppose there just isn't enough interest to go there and watch them. Or even talk about them.

Rodney is always a favorite to win.

is Earl there with his new glove (on the right hand)?

I wanted to go but I am feeling worn out. Just don't have the energy to make the drive. The two Jim's from here will be there. You can spot them by their voice - they will be telling how the pro should shoot every shot. LOL

Did you watch that hotel being demolished in Clearwater this morning? I saw it on TV.

This is the first I heard about it. If you knew why didn't you post something, I could have made time to go, now I can't.

According to the cover story on the AzBilliards Main Page, 47 players showed up to compete for the $15,000-added Season Finale.

I remember hearing Mike Davis talk about this event a couple of weeks ago, as he was planning on attending. I do believe, and I may be mistaken, that in order to be eligible to compete in the Season Finale, a player had to play in a certain number of the Seminole's Florida Pro Tour events, maybe two or three.

Looks like Mike Davis is facing Earl Strickland today, both still on the winners' side. :)

Would appreciate hearing some updates for the inquiring minds back home! :p

I was wondering the same thing.... A tour full of Pro's that you know hasn't been discussed or announced... come on here the day the tourney starts & b!tch about it.....try being part of the solution instead of sitting there complaining about the problem.

Earl lost to Mike 8-7. Earl lost to Troy 8-6.

The break and the rolls lost the matches for Earl. Didn't miss many shots. But then neither did Mike or Troy.

I drove there, watched a couple great matches, drove back home.

Spent more time driving than watching pool.
