Keith, I hope you can help me with this. If Im in a match or game with somebody I dont know, I can come out and play strong the whole game, but once I win a game or two my shooting goes south. And there are times when if I have one or two balls left and my opponant has a table full I cant hit anything, but if its the other way, and they are the one with only a ball left, and if I get another shot I cant miss. Its like I have to be behind to do any good, and sometimes it can get me in trouble and I end up losing to a lesser player and they wont play anymore,. HELP ME
thanks, Scott

Scott, when you're ahead, you got to make sure you stay on top of things. Don't take no one lightly.

I've done the same thing in the past myself, but when it comes time to win, it is very important not to let your opponent get to the table. If you can't run out, don't go for a stupid shot. Study the layout and try to stick him with a safety. The worst thing you can do is to leave a ball hanging in the hole from a poorly executed shot, giving him the green light to go forward AND all the confidence in the world.

Having a positive attitude is helpful. When you start see yourself as a winner, things will eventually fall into place. The first win is always the hardest, but after you get a taste of that winning feeling, the second one will come easier. Before long, instead of doubting your capabilities, you will develop that good old "killer instinct" and take no prisoners. ;)
