Fold side pocket rail cloth without relief cut?

The manufacturers' instructions that I have seen indicate that the side pocket rail folds be done with a relief cut almost up to the cushion nose. The mechanic in this video looks to get a good result by doing the fold without one (at about 5:30).

Is his method a good one, or will it leave too much cloth bulk in the fold?

Is this what you are talking about? This is the way I have always done it and like the way it turns out. I like this way because there is less cloth in the fold at the pocket. Also, after playing on the table a long time, you do not see the fold under the cloth as much as the cloth gets warn.

Right. Your way is the way I've seen it in the instructions. In the vid, it looked like he folded the corner without making that cut in the cloth.

That's a good pic of the technique.

That's basically how I do mine too Reverend- I don't like having all that extra in the way and you can't get it as tight any other way, and it generally looks sloppy and loose in no time. If you don't have to work to push in a dime, you're not trying! lol

Nice pics!
