Hi Everyone,

I had a chance to stop by and played some 3C at Hardtimes Billiards last sunday. The place has a total of six nice tables and about ten players were playing on them.

I also had a chance to talk to the owner, Eddie, about the three cushion game. He seemed to be very interested in the game and was very serious about making the game more popular in the room. He's trying to have a weekly tournament on every Saturday and a monthly tournament also.
He also wanted to bring the National Championship to the room and that's great. He is quite a business man who wants to bring more customers to the room.....

As we all know, Hardtimes in Bellflower is probably the most well known billiard room in Southern California for over 20 years. The amateur, the serious and the great pool players played in this room, including Efren Reyes.

This will be a big Win if we can get the USBA tournament to play at Hardtimes. This room has to be a great place for all billiard players to play different billiard games including snooker, pool and three cushion.

For cue sport, all players are the same. Only the games play differently.

Yes, it is great to have these new tables at Hard Times. I was there a few weeks ago and played on the new tables, and I too understand that Eddie wants to make the room much more of a carom venue than it has been, have tournaments, etc. Because of the room's great reputation among pool players, having carom exposure there can be a great opportunity to expand the game.

New Tables??

I didn't know Hard Times got new 3C tables. Do you know what brand? Are They heated? What kind of cloth?

Edit: Just saw they are Verhoevens....thx....guess I'll stop in to answer my other 2 questions.

Thanks,

Joe

Hey Everyone,

I am back to the Carom Billiard Forum.

Fox, I work six days a week and i'm busy on friday afternoon. I am free on Saturday all day and Sunday's afternoon only and i will see you at 8 Ball this satuday in Maywood if you're playing.

Junksecret,

There are six very nice heated tables, two Gabriels and four Verhoevens with Samonis 300 cloth. Last time i went the charge were 9 dollars for two or more and 5 for one player to practice which is not bad.
