We have been testing our newest wax substitute formulation from DuPont. after 4 months. Tim Scruggs has used it and likes it. He or someone from his shop will be posting sometime soon. I will be getting some off to Mike Webb also.

Our requirements were quite clear in this formulation and in order for us to continue it had to surpass the best wax products available;

1. It must be as slick or slicker than wax
results: smoother and slicker than wax

2. It must have the same filling characteristics of wax
results: provides a much more even distribution over the shaft and fills the smallest pores better than wax due to its tiny structure. Has the same feel and texture as wax

3. It must not trap grit
results: unlike wax, when you push particles into it, it will not penetrate as easy and stick. It actually repels sharp chalk and grit particles.
.
4. It must stay hard throughout a wider temperature range
results: the best wax softens at 80 degrees making particles stick to it more easily. This new product remains constant without softening up to 200 degrees F.

5. Must not peel easily
results: unlike wax that begins to peel off the shaft over time, this product remains uniform.

6. Cost effective
results: product pricing is in the mid-range of waxes

Description: product: is in liquid form and must be shaken before use. Once applied, the carrier (liquid) evaporates completely and the wax like structure remains. NO SILICONE or ABRASIVES USED.

We do have some samples left for cue makers interested, very limited supply though. We will soon have a name for this product and it will be under our SlipStic brand

Please PM if interested. Only 8 samples left with each sample good for 40 cues.

Thanks

Pete

Just received a PM about SlipStic Conditioner. If you already wax your cue, you can still use SlipStic Conditioner. Many use the sealer and then apply the Conditioner. Players use SlipStic Conditioner to give it the cuesmith new feel. It is slicker than wax and tested much slicker than other products in the market because it does not break down and mix with moistures as all other products do, the culprit to that tacky feeling. Players using it do not need to hassel with their cue shaft for 4 to 6 weeeks between applications.

This new product is an improved wax to use in place of the wax you already use. You can also apply the conditioner after, likewise players too.

Anyone like this stuff, I tried it briefly and did not get any response from my customers?

Pete,
Your PM box is full.
I am very interested in this product. We would not hesitate to advertise saying that all our shafts are treated with your technology if we use your product on our shafts.
I like innovation and I would like to wish you all the best with your new product.

This product is new and does not replace SlipStic Conditioner. I imagine you are referring to the Conditioner which has now been available for a little over one year. That product, unlike other products does not mix with moistures and does not break down, it actually improves with use as other products break down immediately upon first use. (Even though it is in liquid form, it also does not contains moistures either. Moisture is the number one problem causing tackiness. )

I had someone in the pool hall come to me telling me they no longer use anything on their cue shaft not realizing SlipStic Conditioner is still effective from an application 3 months earlier. This is the problem we are struggling with, it last too long in some cases. I think 4 to 6 weeks is long enough but some cases, for some reason last much longer. Many of the original buyers from over a year ago still use their original purchase and have a lot left over.

This new product is for cue makers and cuesmths who use waxes. Tim Scruggs is the only one at this time that has used it. I have just begun sending out to others. Just as those cue shafts with wax on them can benefit from our conditioner, this new product will also benefit.
