For Sale 1968 balls owned by Babe Cranefield

Story is I am in my local hall (Hippos in Utica) when an old timer comes in with a box of Belgium ball ,on the box is marked BC in the top corner and on the back just C .Inside its marked 1968 Belgium balls and in the top corner Babe C .Also a torn out paper from a note book which is yellowed and does look 40 year old which states " These ball belonged to Babe Cranefield who ran two runs of 500 balls etc...... Jack told me that a older lady that he knew from syracuse stopped by his house and told him that her husband played with Cranefield
and thought jack would like these balls . I was looking for a set of balls for a friends table so i bought them . Now I am wondering if I should offer them to some one who knew Babe or some one that could verify some of this ,thanks

Wow that is so awsome!!! I used to take the bus into Syracuse to Caps poolhall to watch Babe play. I do recall that he had his own set of balls. He would do this trick where he would bet me that he could pick up all of the balls with both hands, he would win, it was neat to watch him get the balls between his fingers and get them off the table a few inches. He was such a great guy, I miss him. When he was really in the mood he would do some trick shots, it was amazing to watch.

I would say to get ahold of Dickie at Caps poolhall on Teall Ave in Syracuse, he might be able to help you authenticate the set.
