Up for sale is 1992 SW Jerry Franklin predate cue in original condition. Considering the fact that the cue is 15 years old and has not been refinished, it is in very good to excellent condition, with only minor finish dings (nothing that cannot be taken out with a refinish). The cue was authenticated in a letter by Laurie Franklin dated September 24, 2005. In the letter, Laurie describes the cue as follows:
"North American Birdseye maple nosepiece inlaid with six points of African ebony bordered in red and black veneers. Irish linen wrap. Base is African ebony complimented with a Birdseye maple butt cap. The decorative joint rings are black linen phenolic and maple with an 8-slot black/red/black design."
I will e-mail a copy of Laurie's letter to any person upon request. The cue is 58" long. It weighs 19.6 oz. with shaft and 19.5 oz. with the other; the butt alone weighs 15.9 oz. The shaft diameters are 13.07 mm and 12.95 mm. The shafts are original, and roll dead straight together and apart. The hit of this cue in unbelievable!!! The first person that agrees to pay me $3,000.00 for the cue and letter, which will be delivered to any point in the Continental U.S. by FedEx Ground, gets it. Don't miss your opportunity to own one of the most beautiful SW cues made by legendary cue maker Jerry Franklin.
