For sale, Tim Scruggs that needs some TLC

Hi All,

I have been sent a cue by a friend of a friend which I have been asked to sell.

The cue is very obviously a Tim Scruggs, but the butt cap has been replaced at some stage, so there is no TS logo present. The shafts are very thin, I would say about 11mm, one with no tip and a big crack through the ivory ferrule. The rings on the skinny shafts could easily be transplanted onto new shafts.

The butt seems straight, will roll it properly this evening to double check. While the butt is in okay condition, it would be lovely after a refinish. 4 points, 4 veneers, 15 ivory inlays and fancy rings at all locations.

I am looking for $1350 shipped and insured. If there is not much interest, then I will be getting new shafts and the cue refinished. (Any advice on this front would be much appreciated)

Back to the top... I checked the butt in the pool hall last night, nice and straight...
 
I have had some really nice trade offers for this cue, thanks folks!

While I have the cue in my possession and I will be doing the whole deal myself, I am selling this cue for a friend, and he will not go for a trade.

If something comes up that is obviously in my favour trade wise, then I may be able to do something, but otherwise, trades are going to be very tricky for me, as I would have to cash out the Scruggs owner.

Several people have offered $800 for this cue, I have spoken at length with the owner, he will do $900, but that is it... That will include postage, but only if the buyer pays the paypal fees or sends as a gift.
