The Diamond reference to Rosewood is just the color of the stain used. That table would probably be more than triple the cost if they actually used real Rosewood. The only tables that I know of being made with real Rosewood these days are Mark Gregory custom Centennials and Anniversaries. Blatt Billiards would probably do a custom to that degree as well, but you are looking at more than 25 grand.

You are correct about certain species of Rosewood not being available anymore. Brazilian Rosewood that was once used for high end rail caps is one of them, but Bolivian Rosewood is still available...for how long who knows.
