I have two 50 yard spools of vintage green speck #12 Cuttyhunk for sale that is in very nice condition. This is equivalent to vintage Cortland irish linen wraps on custom cues. So if you want to restore a custom cue with period correct wrap or if you want to build a cue with that vintage Cortland look, here it is. This wrap is very difficult....no near impossible to find anymore.
It comes in two 50 yard connected spools. I measured the line and it is 0.029" in diameter. Modern Blue Mountain linen is 0.031". Cortland #9 is 0.025" and Cortland #12 is 0.031" and both were used for vintage cues. This falls nicely in between both diameters. Cuttyhunk brand was always a bit smaller by thread count than Cortland or Penn. I have it pictured next to a strand of modern Blue Mountain linen and it's just a bit smaller.
