Is the cue new or used? Is it straight? What are the respective weights of the butt and shaft? Thanks, Chuck

i would not say early 90's on this cue, mcdermott starting using the gold clover after 97, mainly to save cost. cues before this date has the smaller clover engraved in the butt cap of the cue, then depending on color was painted so it could be seen. yes you do find some cues made from the early 2000's to 2010 with the engraving but these are normally the special cues. an example would be the M72-A (dubliner) first editions of this cue have a green engraved clover, now the ones you order will have the gold sticker with usa under it. this will help you date that cue because i believe they only engraved the first 1000 of that cue.

i do not think this cue is an E-series, i know all of those where engraved and those stopped in 99. but the M-series cues do over lap that date with production starting in 97. Also being that your clover does not have the USA under it, it is safe to say that you do in fact have an early M-series cue. Very late 90's to early 2000's.

i hope this helps both the seller and the buyer........ because looking at the shape of this cue, and its age, as a Mcdermott collector someone is getting a good deal on a very good, well taken care of cue. good luck.

Cue is new and unplayed cheap cue. I am not sure of the age just going off of what I was told by the past owner.
