For the English Billiard enthusiast, a 459 break and a number of other centuries

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in the carom billiards forum, but there doesn't seem to be much interest in the game in that forum.

A poster on youtube has uploaded some breaks by a player named Danik Lucas.

3 minute century

last but not least a 459

The angle is not ideal for the 459, the balk cushion is out of sight, but most of the break does appear on camera.

Great going. It's nice to see Billiards alive and well in Oz. They played a major part in it at the peak of its popularity and in Lindrum have a strong claim to the greatest cueman of all.

I have never heard anyone who is aware of Walter Lindrum not think that he was the best ever, he pretty much killed the sport though when he took the trophy back to Oz. Remarkable player for sure.

The videos of him on youtube are awsome. It just seems so easy for him, I love watching him do his nursery cannons.

I still suck at the game. I played a bit today and managed 15 lol. I eventually gave up, switched to snooker and managed a break of 73, go figure.

Haha we're the opposite. I couldn't make three balls in a row the other day at my snooker tournament, but somehow easily managed runs in the 20s fairly consistently to beat the best snooker players in the club at billiards.

English billiards fascinates me in that a good snooker player can so easily be good at billiards if they'll just learn the moves, as opposed to a good pool player who really has to go through a massive change in his play to perform respectably at carom games. At least, I think.
