in a previous thread we saw an exercise to find your vision center
to have a card perpendicular to the mirror
doesnt that force you to end up near center face so as not to see one side or the other?
unless you extinguish the info from one eye altogether?

the methods that have a line drawn with a step off
at the table and have you find where the lines line up
isnt that more accurate ?
like the device below where you can see it from the side
you can see where i am off line/alignment
and where i am close to correct
you can evaluate your head position both standing and down on the shot

i made a 'broke man's' version of this thing with an index card. Draw a line with a sharpie and fold the card. does same thing. that video was well made but that mirror thing just looks too weird to me. this little gizmo works good imo.

That's ingenious. Straight up simple and effective. Most things that work well usually are, it's just noone thinks of them. Kudos Gman!!

Instead of seeing the side of the card with one eye, wouldn't you see the unaligned line? Why wouldn't that be just as "bad"?

I think our brain will show us the combined "vision center" pictures with the card and the line just like it does with the cue (assuming we're in vision center position).
