In the Philippines, we have this thing that looks a mini pool. Instead of balls we use pucks (wooden or fiberglass). Basically it's just a square living-room size table with pockets on the corner. A fairly smooth surface (use some baby powder to make it play better). Hard rubber attached to the rails. The cue puck is 1.5(scale) in diameter compare to the object pucks and twice the height. Just a neat thing to have if you can't afford or have space for full-size billiard table.

I think it will be an interesting project. It also doubles as beer holder or table if the pockets are small, ;)

In the USA

We have this thing called an Office 'Pool table' that is miniature and can set on a desk. It has 15 mini balls, cue ball, and rack with 6 pockets.
You can use a flat toothpick to shoot ... lol

I also have a jewelry case with the top of it being a Pool table with mini balls racked for 8 ball and cue ball at the head spot with green felt for the table surface (and no I will not sell it ... lol)_
 
ever since I started playing I have been working on a custom case.

The only problem with my design is the exterior. The case will hold the minimum amount of equipment. The design is of a snake. Just imagine a flat snake with its mouth open. Then you pull out its tongue and whammo unsheath your awesomeness of weapon.

Would it look cooler with a stained wood finish or a snake like camo.

As I only have one prototype to paint, your input would be appreciated.

That design will also offer a stand for your pool stick which should eliminate the problem of what to do with the cue stick when not shooting.

Well, my first input would be, "Experiment on 2 x 4s!"

Second input: I saw an episode of "American Chopper" in which the gas tank got a very credible snake-scale pattern with the aid of some fishnet stocking material. Give it an undercoat of black, then stretch the fishnet material over it. Spray on green, black, yellow, white... whatever snake colors you're going for. ( Reticulated python would be very chic.) Let dry. Remove fishnet.

Third input: forget this thing and buy a Whitten.
 
small scale models have proven successful.

I lack any type of drilling tool to meet the needed precision so I will have to send it to a pro shop for that. And the fact that this thing will weigh about 15-18 pounds. But I kept the tongue independent of the snake body. So no trouble in there.
 
Another good idea is a wooden case that doubles as a cue rack. Something that opens up from top to bottom. The cover folds in half to become a rack.
