The first match sounds interesting, but the second match, what a yawnathon:boring2::eek::wink:

Tyler and Al went hill-hill first set. Flip and doubled the second with Al winning. Tyler plays again and wins, play a tie breaker set and Tyler won that as well.

Other match, uneventful slaughter of Mr Lewis. Pretty standard round these parts. Rematch looking like next week if I can make some time, I literally havent played seriously in months....... (if you can even count that as serious...!)

Im going to get some practice time and get back to my donating ways.

To be honest, you have the tools and when you really put them to good use I think alot of people will be shocked when the tables start turning the other way.But working, homelife, bills and responsibilities really hurt a guys pool game ,but in retrespect I would rather a life than a great pool game.I just heard my kids yelling upstairs, can I take back everything I just said!;)

Ive won some matches here and there. One of these days I'll make three balls in a row, I can just feel it!

Poetic Justice

Dan didn't lose his cues. The guy that he was gambling with got what he deserved. Actually, he deserved more than what he got.

I've gambled with both guys involved in this. Whenever I've won money from Dan, I got paid on the spot out of his pocket. No whining or crying of any sort. The other guy, on the other hand, is a chronic gambler with payment issues. I've beaten him on many occasions, and have yet to be paid after the set was done. He's paid off in installments, stiffed me a few times, and held out intentionally because he couldn't spare the money.

The story - Dan lost to Jer. He decided to hold out on the money. He had it - just wanted to make Jer feel the burn like he's done to anyone else he's gambled with. Jer went off on him (the same way I went off on Jer the last time we gambled when he held out on a $100 bet) for not paying up. To anyone in the room that's ever beaten Jer for money, it was hilarious. Anyways, Dan told Jer that he could pick up the money the next day, but Jer had to come to Hamilton to pick it up. He basically pulled the kid's move on himself. It was priceless.

Dan had the money, and paid up. He just made Jer sweat it the way he makes everyone sweat that he loses cash to. Dan has his cues, Jer has his money.

I refuse to gamble with Jer because it isn't worth my time or effort anymore. I can't be bothered to have to wait for $60 because I won the first set and he can't pay me until next week. Meanwhile, you lose to him, he wants your money NOW.

Poetic justice.......good for you, Dan.

Didn't you lose your cues?

Deanus, not sure what answer you're looking for on this. I'll try two. I know you're keen on making other people look bad and you probably heard some info from Mike since he was there.

#1 (the answer you WANT to hear) I lost my playing cue, break cue and case. I played a guy and I couldnt pay

Good thing I had a tube sock on to carry my jumper.

#2 (the actual answer) I told him I would leave my cues there and that he had to come to Hamilton (we played in Burlington) to pick up the money. Ive had to come back probably 15 times in the last year of playing the guy to get paid and I always told myself it would be a little funny to see what would happen if he had to wait. (outlined above by Shawn) Now if I didnt have cash on me, I didnt want to go to the bank machine, I wanted to make him wait it out, I didnt have cash available, I had to transfer from one account to the other or I had to wait to get paid from my one day a week job will remain a mystery to everyone. Feel free to pick whatever of those options suit your opinion of me.

We played again last night with me coming out on top, must have got lucky. The re-rematch is unconfirmed for next week. I have to work two night shifts so its a weird week for me with my sleep pattern and whatnot.

Anyways, I would never intentionally screw someone or not pay the guy. We've probably played over 200 sets against each other and he's never had a problem. He tried to justify last night that he didnt pay in the past but it was all going to change..... he also picked up $1000 cash on Wednesday but had to get people to throw in for him to play two sets for $150 each on Thursday, this should give you an idea of his bankroll management. He isnt a bad guy, we've even went out to the bar after gambling a few times for drinks. (I had to pay for the drinks, I got lucky those nights too)

Hopefully that clears everything up for you Deanus. Hope to see you soon to donate to you also. Feel free to shoot me an email, message, text or something to confirm if you would like some of my money....... or cues....
