Forsale: Skip Weston Cue just listed on eBay.

Beautiful cue Ricky-
I just picked mine up about a week ago. Pretty fancy too. As soon as I get some decent pics, I'll post 'em in the cue gallery section. Good luck with the sale!

That's weird. I have bookmarks for several makers of cues on ebay, that way I can just go direct to that page and see if any new ones have been posted.

I wondered why your's didn't show on that page, so I went to cues and searched for skip and weston and skip weston, and NOTHING.

So if people can't find it with a search, many may not see it unless they see it on here, have it set so ebay notifies them when a Skip Weston is posted, or they just happen to be looking through the whole cue selection on ebay.

Jeff,

When a listing is fairly new, like mine, it takes eBay's server a while to adjust and upload the listing. While the auction is already up and running, depending on category and type of item, it sometimes takes 2 to 3 hours before a search will bring it up or someone get's notified about it in their email.

Could be. It has never taken more than 10 minutes when I have listed things. Maybe they're pretty busy tonight.

Hey Jeff,

Yeah, eBay is weird like that. On really obscure things, I've seen the listing up and running in no time. But more common items in a very crowded category, I've noticed it takes time before in comes up. Oh well, thats the gamble of an auction I guess. Luckily, I can post the link from eBay to AZ for potential buyers. Now come on everybody, bid bid bid!!! hehe

Very nice cue. If I were a regular-sized person I'd be chomping at the bit on this one. Good luck with your sale.

FYI, it shows up in one of my canned searches:
("richard black", mordt, scruggs, wheeler, espiritu, ae, gale, clark, bender, weston, abear, cousins, gilbert, ginacue, hercek, herceck, mottey, olivier, pfd, phillipi, schick, searing, showcase, southwest, stacey, tascarella, drexel, omega, judd, nitti, pechauer, kikel, mordt, bcm, coker, klein) in Billiards

For those that had trouble view the pictures in my auction last night and this morning, my pic server is up and running now. So please recheck my auction. Thanks to all those interested!

Did you get your Skip from Sean? If so, I think I know just exactly which one it is. ;)

Ricky,

I wish you best of luck with your sale. I know what a hard decision it was to make to part with it.

I will have mine likely sometime in March. We made a complete design change with the inlays, which is extending the build time by a few weeks. We're going more original, instead of the not-so-original 'traditional' design I had originally discussed with him. I'll post pics once I recieve it.

Shorty, you know what they say...you go Skip and you'll never go back! Lol. He definitely builds a players cue. I got to talk to him Sunday night, and I think we actually spent more time talking pool than we did about the cue itself. He gave me some nice little tips on handling the mental aspect of the game. Definitely a player building some wonderful players cues, IMHO!! :D

Very nice cue and it has a Bushka Ring - NICE.
I will have to see how one plays one day with all the recommendation I have read.

Very nice Q Ricky . You guys can all fight over this cue, as I am Cue POOR. No more Cues after the ones on order are delivered.... Than I too with thin out my Cue Collection.. vbg...

Hi Gang,

Thanks for all the nice compliments. To answer a few questions, I custom ordered this cue from Skip Weston. I still have the box it came in as well as all of our email conversations. I originally paid a little over $1400 for this cue. I had a Buy It Now price on eBay of $1250 which has since disappeared after the first bid got put in. I have a standing offer from one AZer of $1000 for the cue. Again, I'm entertaining offers, so drop me a PM or email me. Thanks again people.

Hey Lisa-
Actually, I got it directly from Skip. I went there to order a fancy cue and I had a series of ideas drawn out in my head and on paper. When I got there, we sat and talked for a bit about what it was that I wanted and Skip said 'Hang on a second' and he reached over into a stand a pulled from it a cue that pretty much matched exactly what I was looking for. It turns out, he had finished it about a month earlier and had played with it himself a few times. I fell in love and I gave him some cash on the spot as a deposit. A week later, I paid it off. I'm trying to have pictures taken that'll do the cue justice. When I get them, I'll post it in the gallery.

Brian,

Geez...how cool is that?! Find almost exactly what you wanted already made, direct from Skip, no less. And without the wait!! No fair!!!!!! He, he, just kidding. Pretty cool story though. Can't wait to see the pics. I still have about a 1.5-2 month wait for mine. :( But it'll be worth it, I'm sure. Congrats on the new cue!!

Man, he blinded us with that cue. One of the fanciest if not the fanciest traditional cues Skip's ever built, and the peacocks/notched diamonds are just perfect, absolutely flawless.

Brian, wait 'till I get my camera...and work on some tips from Icon/Zeeder to show it off.
