Lets be honest here folks, pool is pretty boring to talk about. How many times can we talk about this shot or that shot, side spin or top spin, jacked up a little or not?
Just like in life you have to waid through a lot of crap to find something of value. Every once in a while we come across a jem of a thread with an interesting subject about pool. Usually these dont get hijacked because the subject is too important and interesting. Most of the other threads are fluff.
Why not have a little humor like "why did the chicken cross the road" while waiting for the next great pool tread?
That being said, I think I will start working on my "Knock Knock" thread!

This place is like you are in a pool hall, a real pool hall that are disappearing like the houseman has.
There are champions, players, hackers, up and coming, instructors, barkers, jokers, smoke blowers, good food, bad food, drugs, games, action, big mouths, nicknames, cliques, bad coffee, no air conditioning, mens urinal with pee all over the floor, womans bath is fairly clean,
cues, bad deals, good deals, shady people, good people,
old timers, stories, occasional hot woman ( looking )
I am sure there are quite a few I missed.
Like a pool hall you accept it for what it is or go to a billiard club, 'have a latte' and drool at the waitress that you will never have.
I love to hear the balls clicking ( wait that didn't sound right) the sound of centennial or aramith balls that is.
I am sure there are some that like me and dislike me. Just like a pool hall I could care less,,, I am coming to play.
As far as the good rep bad rep goes I could care less.
Here you can sit at home and feel like you are in a (REAL POOL HALL) where most good players come from, not some upscale billiard club where a bunch of pretentious nits think they can play and turn the game of pool into the audience golf has.Maybe they have a world class player in their house or a few decent shorstops and sit around blowing smoke up their butt. These players most likely learned in a REAL POOL HALL WITH A REAL HOUSEMAN.
I grew up cleaning tables for table time, poorly lit, rug cloths with band-aids covering the holes watching Sailor Bill Barge running racks, Petie Margo, Miz, Hopkins and many others playing great pool in a REAL POOL HALL.
I come here for the bad coffee
Accept this place for what it is and listen to the balls click
Otherwise do a search on Billiard Clubs where they sit around and discuss over a Latte or Evian how much they know about pool ( Their Knowledge is overwhelming) meanwhile they can't get out with ball in hand on every shot.
