Lately I've been going back through some old threads, reminiscing about our old friend !Smorgassbored, who entertained us for years until he passed. He's been gone about two years and a few days. I received contact from Barbara recently and she is doing reasonably well and has moved on with her life but still misses Doug like we all do.
I went through some old threads going back as far as 2008 and discovered many good posts by individuals that I don't always see eye to eye with. I miss a lot of posts and threads because they just kind of fall off my radar screen. .... I kind of fly through the Main Forum and my subscribed threads, stopping to reply whenever my hot button is pushed or when my whimsy kicks in. But for the most part, I miss a great deal of posts on many subjects and even fail to see where someone has encouraged me to respond and I didn't. My apologies to any of you whom I didn't respond to. I jump in and out of the forum while working and don't read as much as you would think, so discovering some nice replies and statements by some of the naysayers and others was a pleasant surprise.
Anyway, you might take enjoy taking a trip down memory lane and read some of the old threads and posts. Sure, you'll find some of the angst but you'll find some of the brotherly love I occasionally talk about too.
If you look hard enough you might even discover how much we all love pool in spite of our differences.
If all of us (including me) spent a little more time trying to be respectful of those with a difference of opinions, the forum would be better off.
The truth is that we are never going to all think alike and variety truly is the spice of life.
