Hello and thanks for taking time to read this post. I have an opportunity to acquire a Brunswick Gold Crown I. Overall I think the condition is good to very good. There are some spots on the rails that don't rebound as well as they should and I can hear the difference. The ball doesn't jump, but I am concerned that it may need replacing,$$$. The only other bad thing is that there is a corner piece missing and the pocket/slate is exposed. The seller has this piece, but it just needs to be put back on. The pockets are nice and tight and appear to be cut correctly, but one corner pocket is smaller than the others. The cloth is 860 Simonis and does not need to be replaced anytime soon. Can you please give me your opinions and an estimate on what It maight be worth as it is and what it would cost to replace the rubber?
The other issue is that I will need to move my existing pool table. If I can't sell it in time I will have to put it in storage. I also have to find a mechanic that will move both tables. Again, any opinions here are appreciated.

Thanks:)

What area do you live in? That may help you find a mechanic on here to help you with moving the tables. I sold a Gold Crown I about 6 months ago in similar condition, maybe a little better. I sold it for $1000. Hopefully that will give you one point of reference for value.

Service prices are pretty regional, so again, it would depend on where you are, but I would charge $200 to replace rubber, plus you'd have to have it recovered at that point. You may just have some loose spots in the rubber though. If that's the case they can be re-glued and that may take care of it. That's one of those things we'd just have to see it to let you know what would be involved in making it right.

Hopefully this helps answer your questions. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Thank you for your response. I updated my profile to show my location. I have a couple of good references on a local mechanic, so I will be calling him soon.
