over 10k added, race to 6 , true double e, $60 entry. what do you think a reasonable green fee should be? is $40 too much?

$20 would be a fair green fee.

Quarters is the fairest system, everyone pays by how they do.

If you figure a dollar a game then about $20 will give you about the right amount.

1.50 a game would be about $30 green fees.

128 man bracket has 255 matches
64 man bracket has 127 matches

You figure an average of 9-10 games per match in a race to 6.

We usually pay $20-25 around here for green fees for large tournaments.

$40 is high for a green fee! Figure if a game goes hill/hill at $1 a game and split quarters you pay $5.50 first round. So a player will have to make it to the 7th round at hill/hill every match to make the green fee back. So the ones that go 2 and out loose $29.50. Based on 64 man field thats 16 players out at $29.50 X 16 = $472 gain and so on. I would never play in a tournament that charges that much. I run tournaments and know the room make money of the coin drop to add money to the event and if they open the tables the norm is about $20 or $25.

You did not say if thats just green fee or did it include tournament director fees.

green fees

i think we got it, green fees probly gonna be around $25, working on it right now. it wouldnt of been to cover director cost, but to help pay for the tables. quarters probly work best. tables would of stayed open from wed to sunday night. thanks for the info. meeting wednesday night tourney poster will be out soon
