FOX SPORTS DIGITAL NETS AGREES TO CARRY US OPEN 9-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP FROM BILLIARD CLUB NETWORK

ST. LOUIS, MO - Fox Sports Digital Nets (FSDN), a suite of digital networks – Pacific, Central and Atlantic - providing out-of-market collegiate and professional sports fans with a connection to their favorite teams, will telecast Billiard Club Network’s 13-week summer series of the 2002 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships.

Fox Sports Digital Nets will premiere Billiard Club television (BCtv), BCn’s one-hour weekly program series beginning July 13th. The following telecast schedule will remain consistent throughout the series. All times are Eastern.
  • Sunday’s 9:00 PM on Fox Sports Digital Atlantic
  • Monday’s 12:00 PM on Fox Sports Digital Central
  • Tuesday’s 1:00 PM on Fox Sports Digital Pacific
"Fox Sports Digital Nets gives us national cable distribution along with our satellite distribution on Dish Network and DirecTV," said Rob Sykora, BCn president. "With the way the series is shaping up, we'll be on TV every day of the week. Other network deals are in the making and we anticipate the total weekly distribution to exceed 40 million cable and satellite homes."

"The U.S. Open event fits nicely into our mix of content during the summer and we look forward to providing great programming for pool and billiard fans across the country," said Max Casanova, Director of Programming for Fox Sports Digital Nets.

In addition to Fox Digital Nets, the U.S. Open summer series is available through cable channels Empire Sports Network in New York and Sunshine Network in Florida. Each of these regional sports channels is available to DirecTV and DISH Network satellite subscribers.

Fox Sports Digital Pacific, Central and Atlantic offer digital cable subscribers the same coverage available on DIRECTV and DISH Network’s out-of-market sports packages. Utilizing Fox Sports Net’s 22 owned or affiliated networks (including Sunshine Network, MSG, Comcast Sports Net), Fox Sports Digital Pacific, Central and Atlantic is a unique three-channel multiplex that offers live, unduplicated and often exclusive games, in addition to news and programming of specific interest to these three "super-regions." For sports aficionados and displaced sports fans alike, Fox Sports Digital Pacific, Central, and Atlantic is the only place to find out-of-market sports, 72-hours a day. Fox Sport Digital Nets is available in over 3 million homes.

Billiard Club Network produces exclusive video programming for a national network of billiard club affiliates, under the name Billiard Club television. These affiliates use BCtv as their in-house video entertainment for their customers. BCtv features match footage, instructional segments, and other billiard sports entertainment. BCtv is a production of BCn in association with Diamond Billiard Products, Accu-Stats Video Production and Matchroom Sport.

Sunshine network will have their first telecast of the US Open 2002 at 4:00pm on July 11th and again at 10:30pm in central florida.

Do you know which matches will be televised? Finals? Semi-finals? Quarter-finals? Sure hope you will be televising a match, any match, with Earl Strickland.

Are there plans for televising the 2003 US Open?

Jake

Any information on how to get these telecasts in Colorado...short of buying a satellite dish?

Jake, the complete schedule of events will be up on the BCtv site very soon. The first week is Daulton vs Nevel
