I will watch if KEITH MCREADY is there!! I need a picture as well autographed for my collection!

Buddy Hall is entered. I just have my doubts that he will ultimately show.
Would be nice though.

I know you know this, Nostroke, but I'm pretty sure that Mike Zuglan would not have put Buddy's name down if he was not paid. There is always a waiting list for that tournament.

That said -- and I know you know this well -- check out the weather in Verona, NY beginning on Wednesday. I guess to New Yorkers, though, that ain't too much snow.

Wow! I remember driving there one years in a blizzard. I was the only car on the road. It was scary. The snow was coming at me like millions of arrows. I couldn't see anything but white.:embarrassed2:

For those flying in, man, I don't know. For those driving in, man, what a nightmare.

We won't make it this year, but thanks for your acknowledgement of Keith McCready. We hope to get there next Turning Stone for sure. In fact, that will probably be our first tournament since 2006 if it happens before Super Billiards Expo.:)

I've driven in many blizzards but the last one nearly got me. Thankfully i was the only car out there and when i slid out through a red light, no one was there to clip me. I could have avoided the whole thing but i let myself get distracted. Bad on me

As far as Buddy, he had a paid entry to the US Open and was heard to say he was definitely going but ultimately he didnt show. I was very disappointed.

I just dont see him traveling to TS in the dead of winter for his first tourny in quite a while-although maybe he has family in the area that he is visiting. I would love to see him snap it off but that probably is a pipe dream.

I hear you on that snow blizzard driving. We were the only car on the road going to Atlantic City one year for the Trump's 10-Ball tournament, and as soon as we arrived, they closed all roads going in. Here we were, a bunch of pool players, snowed in at Trumps Casino. They had to postpone the tournament for a day. I was so glad that I had a limit on my ATM withdrawals each day.

Buddy has "free" entry to the U.S. Open, since he has won it before, but there is no "free" entry to Joss Tour events. Somebody paid that entry fee, if not Buddy himself.

Yeah -Good thing on the ATM limit. Unfortunately I found myself "bus stranded" in AC one time tapped out but still with an ATM card or two with no limit or a high limit. Negative $4k+ later (in today's funds) i found myself on the long bus ride back home. Im pretty much a nit especially at the Casino so i was physically ill over it. I ate Peanut Butter and Jelly for as long as i could stand it-at least 10 days trying to make up something. I didnt enter a Casino for 20 years after that so it saved me in the long run im sure.

I drove home from the DCC one time and to borrow a line from Williebetmore-"I thought i was in the Iditarod" Everyone else stayed over a day but i plowed outta there for no good reason-In the first two hours im sure i didnt hit 25MPH.

I know his entry is paid but i think Mike would let Buddy swap out.

Buddy Hall

I talked to Bristol Bob an he informed me that infact Buddy will be attending TS, he was supposed to be going to the tourney with him but he now has take care of some familiy things while back on the east coast.

Bristol is living where now? Cool that he should be reunited with Danny for this event.

BTW kids- The Bristol/Delicious roadtrips are chronicled in the book "Running the Table" which is in the top 3 of the best road story pool books out there.

PS-I will bet $25 that Buddy has to cancel.

I wonder why no Reyes, Busty, Parica or Alex? I am happy to see Buddy and Danny in there as well as Earl, but it would be nice if Sigel was there too. That is unless Mike Selig is really Mike Sigel.

I dont see Buddy's name on the final list.
