French Lick Casino/WPBA Tournament

there is a new $350 million casino being built in French Lick, Indiana, right next to the historic Sheraton Resort hotel. they are renovating the old Hill golf course, site of a PGA Championship years ago, and Pete Dye is building another new 18 hole course also.

i was just sitting here wondering about all this. Mizerak's Senior Tour held the 1999 U.S. Open in French Lick, its the home of Larry Bird, they have a new casino, and there is a Brunswick factory in French Lick.

just wondering if there might be any chance they could lure the WPBA there in the near future for a tournament stop? being a new facility they might enjoy the ESPN exposure. Louisville and Evansville are both just a little over an hour away, and they would be the two biggest/nearest cities.

anyone have any thoughts about all of this?

It's simple. If someone puts up the money, they will come.

If the people in charge of this new casino want to have a WPBA tournament, all they have to do is call the WPBA and put up the required amount of money. I'm sure the WPBA would be more than happy to hold a tournament there.
