Curious if anyone can answer this, does a Frey have a thicker butt diameter? The last couple cues I have had are Diveney, Treadyway which are a thinner butt. Wondering how Frey would compare

I agree the Frey butts are thinner and that's why I love his cues. I have owned a number of them and they are all on the thinner side less than the normal or common size butt of 1.25" diameter.

Funny you would mention that. I have a Scruggs that is a little thinner than other cues

The Frey I have measures 1.24in at the end of the butt cap. The taper of the butt is also really thin. Feels good in the hand and natural.

I've only owned one and it was really thin in the handle area and then fattened up from the end of the wrap to the butt cap.
I really liked the way it felt in my hand.

The butt on my Frey is on the thinner side (thinner than my Schon and Joss).

of course cause schon and joss have a fat butt like josey or tarscarella cue...frey cue are mostly 1.250 like most of the cue...normal size cause thinner side would be like TAD, 8 point Black boar or searing cue

Thinner. And yes Freys are the best cues ever made and if you have anything other then a Frey you definitely are an utter and complete loser! Freys ROCK YO!!!!

Any competent cue maker will make butt diameter whatever you specify.
I like 1.25" so I ask for that and that's what I always get.
