Frey S/p

I have a Frey sneaky pete that I would like to get a little more info on. I have looked on cuesnthings and have never seen one like this one before. All of the S/P's on Frey's website have a black fibre joint. The cue I have has what appears to be an ivory joint with black decorative rings. Does anyone know if this is a custom or is this the way he used to make them?

Well technically they are all custom, but I have never seen one like this before. I know his first ones that he made when he first started doing them under his own name instead of Scruggs were just plain wood to wood joints with a letter "f" between two of the points.

You should email JP at Cues and Things, he could put you in touch with Bob, take pictures too, Bob might remember the cue.

Yeah it's a really nice cue, looks almost brand new and it has the F on the butt plate. But, the more and more Frey S/P's I see the more I realize that I have never seen one like this. I will try and post some pics tonight and get in touch with JP. Thanks for the info.
