hello to everyone. i recently received my judd cue it has a maple shaft and im having difficulty adopting to the maple shaft. does 314 have a big diff with a maple shaft as regards to hit and deflection? but one thing though i really liked the hit of judd compared to my predator

Sure it is. Worms? Search and find.

But sure the cueball def. is alot different, why else did you buy a Predator before?

314 shafts are made of maple too. They are hollow at the tip end and have long tapers.
It's possible you could have your Judd shaft retapered a bit to more closely resemble the Predator. You could also have a Predator shaft fitted to the Judd.
Shafts come in all sizes, weights, tapers, and deflection properties.
If your new shaft is deflecting a bit more, it will take a bit to adjust to it. If you like the hit, it will be worth missing a few shots until you adjust.

314 will deflect only 25 percent less on average than the Judd. Just take your time and be patient with transition. then you'll be fine. I learned how to play with a 314 and went thru the same thing as you when I switched to a shaft that felt the way a cue is suppossed to. Once you get it, you can switch back and forth with no problem...Its not as big a difference as it seems...
