ok im build my second cue the first one turned out very well a person in a poolhall gave me an offer i could not refuse, but now im wanting to experiment a lil. a person i was talking to was saying that a cue maker was putting weight closer to the joint is there any benefit to that. the last one i uses uniloc worked well but i think i like the 3/8-10 or radial better so that will help in this. but if weight in front of butt does do something please let me know what it does, 2nd how wood i do it without a stainless steel joint i already have the forearm built 8 cocabola points with birdseye maple so it would have to be from the grip handle jiont and back. its going to be striped ebony from there back with a wrap. just telling wood to get an idea of weight
thanks

Has it already got the pin installed?
If not, weight can easily be added before the pin.
Also, weight can be added into the back of the shaft if required also.
There are plenty of options to add weight and various ways as well. Lots has been mentioned over the years.
