I'm selling this cue for a local friend that is not as well versed with technology.
He bought it from Herman himself in the 1961-1963 time frame. All is original including the Irish linen wrap, the only thing that's been cleaned up is the brass joint collar/pin with the proper polish for brass (owner is a gun collector and thought that was best). His name is on the forearm and initials are on the shaft as like many Rambow cues.
The butt cap is solid ivory as well as the ferrule. The cue did not come with a bumper. There is a brass Phillips head original bolt in the butt cap. There are ZERO dings or dents on the wood of the cue. Although you can see some spots of the wood pitting. The forearm does have a small roll (about 1/16") as expected with a 50 year old cue. The cue has been case kept in a closet for many many years.
Personally through my research I've never seen one that looks so good cosmetically.
The shaft measures 28"
The shaft rolls very straight
The butt is 29"
The ferrule is about 12.25mm
The combined length is 57 inches
The shaft is 3.2oz
The butt weight is 15.2oz
The combined weight is 18.4oz
The owner is asking $OLD
OR BEST OFFER for the cue. PLEASE NO LOW BALLS.
NO TRADES PLEASE, OWNER NEEDS CASH/PAYPAL.
If you have a question please PM me and I'll get you the information.
Play Well!
