Hello,
I recently acquired several (22) Antique Brunswick Cues. I spent some time on Chris's (Tate) site going through his Brunswick catalogs (Thanx!!). I also have had correspondence with Mark Stellinga and others so I have a pretty fair grasp of what I have here.

These appear to be made between 1908 and 1928.. and my best guess is 1911-ish. I say this because the previous owner purchased the entire (billiard) inventory of a Mason's Lodge back in the '60's. He researched the Brunswick Table that they came with- and found it was built in 1911...Looking at Tate's 1914 catalog plates...and by doing alot of assuming...:D

I have sorted out the cues that may have "special interest" to offer them here. I have taken high-res photos and created a webpage with several of the "better" cues on it. There is a Butterfly cue with 2 veneers, (2) Doubly butterfly cues, Cork and Twine-wrapped cues, and carved cues.

Anyway. Most of the cues are good solid original cues with typical wear. They were obviously used- A-LOT!! They had almost 100 years of grime on them. I gently cleaned them with rags and Murphy's Oil Soap- and they came out great. The original patina is still there- but they are no longer dusty and dirty from storage. They are remarkably straight.

The remaining cues (9)- are typical single-butterfly (Vignaux) and Full-Splice 4-pointers. These are already listed on eBay- and the auctions will start at 6:00 PM PST (9 eastern). THESE ARE 3-DAY AUCTIONS- so they go off on SUNDAY evening. (sorry about the caps)
Just do a search for Antique Brunswick" and they should come up. These would make great conversions, and some are nice and original enough for the serious collector.

Please have a look at them.. and if you are interested in any- or have questions... please feel free to e-mail or PM me.

It's nice to see when someone has taken the time to do their research. I gave my model 18 new life with a modern conversion, and it looks great. Good luck with your sale. :)

GREAT CUE! I wish I could chance upon a Titleist, or Model 18 with colored veneers like that. I have had (2) 18's and they both have had natural veneers.

I had BHQ make me a conversion from the last 30's Brunswicks I found (Model 20). I use it regularly on Bar-boxes because it has a softer tip than my regular player (The Williecue). Coggie's semi-retired...LOL!

WOW, great pics. i had the pleasure of watching that Willee cue in various stages of progress before it became a final product. i had a standing order that if it didnt sell, i would buy it at any price. every time i dropped by his shop, it just got better and better looking. i always did a double take, wondering whos palmer he was working on, and it was a cue he was building.

Less than 12 hours and already on page 4.....

Any additional information on these cues- gladly and promptly given
