Please stop bumping every day.

That's especially funny coming the day that he waited two days! In all seriousness, I'm glad we have guys that are willing to point out the rules violations.

On another note, this is a very nice cue. So nice that I'm not posting the pics he sent me....

What a great looking cue, too bad he does not want people to see pictures here on his thread

Scam artist!!!!
I paid vurneek via paypal instant payment over a week ago for his cory barnhart tulipwood pool cue. He promised me in our email communication that he would ship the cue out priority mail (xpresspost- from canada). He assured me that i would receive the cue in 2-3 days maximum. Not only did he not send the cue 2 fridays ago as promised but he lied to me and told me missed the cut of time to ship it out and would mail it out first thing on monday morning of last week. Vurneek has ignored all my emails since monday when he claims he shipped the cue but could not provide me with a tracking number due to him being out of town and leaving the tracking number at his home. He has frauded me and is a total scam artist. I have filed a dispute through paypals resolution center and would appreciate any help you seasoned az'ers can provide me on outting this thief. He lives in canada so im probably just sol but cant stand a thief and would like this asshole to get what he has coming to him. Thank god i didnt send the money as a gift as i was so close to doing.
Word to the wise- avoid vurneek at all costs.....he or she is nothing more than a sickening fraud and lier.

I actually had really liked that cue and would have bought it from anyone with a good itrader but the lack of itrader made me hesitant.. Good luck getting your money back

Thank you. Luckily I used PayPal. I have filed a complaint for fraud through PayPal's resolution center. Assholes like this "Verneek" need to pay the consequence for scamming people out of their hard earned money. I have no use for pieces of shit like this trash.

Why in the world would you not use escrow from a new member with like 20 posts?

I am going to ask a newbie question. PayPal has always refunded any scams to me.

Is the escrow message more expensive than the three points payPal charges?

I'm just trying to learn the ropes here.

Please do let us know how PayPal handles this. Good luck. Sonny

Here is the escrow thread...the cost is $20 + shipping. If you are buying an item from a new member you are taking the risk associated with it. If you escrow you pay Marcus (or even split if both parties agree etc) $20 + the shipping to him, and then to the new owner assuming the transaction is a go. This way the original seller can't scam you and take the payment and not ship the cue. You will send the payment, confirm the receipt of the payment to Marcus, and then Marcus will ship you the cue.

In terms of paypal if you sent as a gift you are SOL....if you sent as a regular payment you have a certain time frame to open a dispute to get refunded. Depending on how much the $ is I would assume will determine how involved they get with it. An example is they may not overly care to look into it too much and just refund you for a $100 on an item you did not receive, but for $3k, they may investigate the transaction a lot closer. I am not an expert at this keep in mind so it's just my opinion on what I have read/heard in the past.

Thanks a lot that explains it. I was really shocked seeing sellers offering to take the gift payment on PayPal that's just an open invitation to screw somebody over no recourse whatsoever. Kind of nuts to save 3 points.
