Unexpected expenses just came along. So I got this is up for sale with a heavy heart. :frown:
BLACKPEARL / AL BAUTISTA CUE
Forearm - UNCORED GABON EBONY
Handle - UNCORED PURPLEHEART under LIZARD-PRINT BROWN LEATHER WRAP
Butt sleeve – GABON EBONY
Pin – Brass, 3/8x10
Joint Collar and butt cap – COCOBOLO
Comes with ONE (1) AL’s low deflection shaft with Kamui black soft tip.
Not exactly sure of the tip diameter but somewhere around 12.75mm.
JP's included.
This cue was finished before Christmas 2012. It originally came with a buckeye burl joint collar and buttcap. I asked AL to change them to cocobolo since I was not aesthetically pleased with the buckeye burl on it. And eventually, when I was in Tony Bautista's shop (Al's brother), I saw a piece of lizard-print leather and I had Tony change the wrap with it to compliment the color of cocobolo, and it turned out so nice. The blackness of gabon ebony goes very well with brown accents of the cue. Very classy looking cue, so elegant!
I’d put this in 95-98% condition, almost like new. Very lightly used. I definitely mean very light! Straight as an arrow. Cue’s total weight is 19.65 oz. It has a weight bolt so it can be trimmed down a bit for those who prefer lighter cues. This doesn’t feel heavy at all since it is very well balanced. Has a very solid hit (ebony+purpleheart combo), and not so stiff due to the LD shaft. All in all, buyer of this cue will definitely enjoy a great looking and exceptional playing cue. Sorry for the crappy pictures, the cue is absolutely stunning in person.
No trades please.
SOLD
Send me a PM if you have further questions. Thanks!
