What's the advantage, if any, of the wooden shaft joint on the Kaiser and Panther? And does the shaft still fit into most cases with the threaded wood pin on it?

I've used both the Kaiser and J&J and imo, the kaiser is stiffer than the J&Js. Not sure if that has something to do with the shaft taper or kind of pin.

The shaft does fit in my 2x4 porper but its very tight fit and it sticks out alittle but Im still able to zip the top cover entirely. I had a customer that returned the kaiser because it didnt fit into his whitten case.
