**These are part of a brand new construction design by Joel. There has been an addition to these cues, without giving away his design, to help stabilize the wood to withstand any climate change from him to us here in the US. Although I have not experienced any problems with his cues personally, this is a step he decided to make just to improve the quality of his cues. Joel is always thinking of how to take his cues to the next level and this step just shows that he wants to put the best construction cues he can build into your hands. The new design reduced the weight of his cues less than a 1/2 ounce in the forearm portion of the cue. Don't worry though, if you liked the way his cues played, there was not a change in feel of the hit at all.They still play great! That is why these cues are priced a little higher than his older models. This new addition to the construction process of his cues, was a pretty decent price increase in material costs for him. Joel has always been known for his very reasonable prices, almost too reasonable to the point where everyone wondered how he could build this quality of cues for the prices asked. So in a nutshell, these are NOT the same as the other cues listed here on AZ. That is why you see some for sale in the low $300 range. Better materials equal higher costs to build, that is true in any language.
Here are 8 brand new JD cues, more to follow. These are great playing custom cues if you have never tried one. Why play with a production cue when you can get a custom cue that is not a plain Jane, for the same price?
