This is the first Ive seen it marked on the butt cap. I was told that Paul could not find a suitable place on the forearm to mark his traditional signature and date. So he engraved it on the butt cap.

The signature probably wouldn't have looked good IMO between the long and short points in the prong because the short points are so long. It would have put the signature up near the end of the points. You will also sometimes see simply "PM" engraved on the butt cap. That's a nice looking cue for sure....the prong is particularly neat looking.

Thanks for the info. I've seen the PM and the marking that has the cityscape outline and crossed cues. Makes this one unique. Oh, and the design ain't too shabby either!
