FS: Dale Perry 5 point Bacote/Curly Maple 1/1

I usually stay out of these type of posts, but I just gotta say this.

I have a seen a few DP's and even hit some balls with a couple of them and I see a lot of value in his cues for what you get. I'm not saying all of his cues or his dealings have been top notch (I really wouldn't know one way or the other) but from what I've personally seen and experienced I wouldn't hesitate in trying one out.

I've seen a few cuemakers that have made some real nice cues but don't charge an arm and a leg for them and I see the "establishment" get a little nervous about that. Some of you know exactly what I'm talking about and it aint gonna change any time soon. Good or bad, opinions vary, but it is what it is.

Good luck with your sale Clever Set.

It depends on ...

What are you really looking for in a cue? If you don't mind spending a couple hundred on a cue and taking a chance of getting a sloppily put together cue, get a DP.

You might get a good one, cause Dale does know how to make a good stick. It's the fact that he doesn't care to make them like that anymore. You will more than likely get crap unless it's one of his older ones. If you're unhappy about the cue, you'd better take your complaint somewhere else, cause he's gonna hang up on you.

I am looking for a cue and this one is more in my price range than most cues here. Once I read the thread I was really curious about the maker, Dale Perry, so I looked on eBay and on his website.

What I saw on eBay were cues prices from $150 to $1000 with most in the $200 - $300 area. I looked over his website and it appears he is cool. Just him and another guy. I don't know what kind of volume they crank out but it hardly seems that these are "production" cues. Looks to me like a lot of cue for the money.

I am interested in actual experiences people have had with these cues besides the ones already listed.
I have had about six of his cues all have played really well. He is local to me and really takes care of any needs I have pertaining to my cues as well. Very good cues that hit with the best of them especially for the money and I would recommend them to anyone.
