I'm selling a Joe Gold Cognoscenti cue. It is a no point cue. I believe it is cocobolo but I wouldn't bet my life on it not being bacote. Seems a little too reddish for bacote. It is one of his earlier cues. I was told it is from the early 90's as it has the South West style trim rings at all points. The cue has a black with white speck irish linen wrap. G-10 epoxy pin. Shaft is 12.78 and looks almost unplayed. Triangle tip. Butt weighs 15.5oz. and the shaft weighs 3.6. The cue is in decent played shape with some dings. If I was keeping it I would send it to Proficient Billiards for a refinish (approximately $85). The wrap is perfect. The only problem with the cue is the butt has a roll to it in the nose. The shaft is fine. I hit balls with it and it has no effect on my shooting. Together it rolls better. This is probably better being someones playing cue as it hits fantastic. I would also recommend seeing the cue to check the roll if possible. That would eliminate any questions as to the severity. I'm in Chicagoland if someone wants to see it they can get in touch with me through PM's.

Jeff bring that cue to the Windy City Cue Show next weekend. You should be able to get rid of it no problem.

Good luck with your sale!

Thanks Chris. Unfortunately I'm running a tournament in Shorewood all weekend. I may try to send it with someone. :frown:

Hi,

You say the butt wobbles a little. Do you think the wood is warped slightly or the pin is a bit loose?

Thanks,
Mark
