Fancy joint protectors (see picture) with Birdseye Maple, German silver rings around an ebony ring, and ebony inlayed to the caps.

3 pieces (1 butt, 2 shafts)

They are for Uni-Loc joint which always costs extra versus other joints.

Possible Chip?

I may be interested in these for my girlfriend. However, it looks like the one on the right in your pic has a small chip out of it near the edge of the abalone.

Is this an issue with the photo or an actual chip/ding? If this is a chip, are there any other chips, dings, etc.?

I looked at the eBay listing and it describes the JPs as new, so I'm assuming any defect would be how it came from the maker...

Yes, they are brand new. I never even noticed that before, but you are right there is an imperfection there. In the photos it is obvious because the photos are zoomed. Thanks for pointing it out.
