I have no weighing scale with me right now but I will say this: They are significantly heavier than the BG or ST or SW shafts that I have come to put my hands on. Its really solid and heavy. If you wish, I can get it measured at the local pro shop, just let me know.
As for the refund on confiscation, frankly I have no idea what the industry practice is. My guess is seller usually refunds half to the buyer if confiscated because the risk is equally distributed on both willing parties of the transaction? By the way, what are the odds for confiscation like, say out of 10 or 20 ivory inlayed cues shipped in/out USA? Can any experienced trader comment please? Thanks!!

I don't know the odds, but this is what Tank138 posted a couple of months ago:
"Do not use any shipper that comes in to the States Via Alaska !! They will get it.
They are looking for Ivory .Especially cues from the Philippines.
The receiver of the cue will get a good size fine also put on a Watch list & the cue will get confiscated/destroyed .
The inspector that is on the look out for Ivory Knows what he is looking for.He also knows how to tell the difference. "
This doesn't sound good for shipping cues into the US with ivory. It sounds like they have a Customs Inspector or Wildlife Inspector who wants to make an example out of custom pool cues. I've heard that it's OK if you use the Post Office "Global Express Service" to ship cues to the US, but i'm not positive this is true.I don't know the odds, but this is what Tank138 posted a couple of months ago:
