In the late 1990’s Brunswick Billiards, along with Joss Cues, developed a limited series of cues called the Jimmy Caras Cue Series. These cues were built in limited numbers in tribute to Jimmy’s 50+ years as an ambassador for Brunswick and the general Sport of Pocket Billiards.

Jimmy passed away in December of 2002, in Jacksonville, Fl, where he was close to his Family and Friends.
For many years, prior to his move to Florida, Jimmy lived near Drexel Hill, PA, and the well known billiard , Drexelline Billiard Club. Everyday Jimmy would frequent the poolroom and spread his joy of life and love of Pocket Billiards. He became very close to the owner, Bob Maidoff. Jimmy worked with anyone and everyone who played at Drexelline. This included a young Cory Duell at that time. Cory would hang on every word Jimmy would say.

At the Drexelline Billiard Club, there are still many reminders of the late great Jimmy Caras.

One member of the Billiard Club purchased the entire series of cues and had Jimmy sign each one.

This unique collection of four cues is now for sale.

The price is $3600 + shipping. Serious inquiries only.

Jimmy Caras Cues

Thank you Manwon, Your observation is greatly appreciated.

A fairly well known story, but a goodie. Pardon me if not all is accurate, but from my fragile memory is one of Mr Caras's anecdotes.

In the early 1960's, Jimmy was engaged to give an exhibition at a new poolroom near Hollywood. The owner of the poolroom was friends with Tony Curtis, who was in attendance for the exhibition. After the show, Tony approached Jimmy and invited him onto the set of a movie he was making. I seem to think the movie was The Great Race, but which ever one it was, it was loaded with stars. Upon going onto the set, Jimmy finds out there is a pool table for the actors to use when they are on break. Tony tells Jimmy he is going to introduce him to everyone as one of his general friends. As they walk around the set they make their way over to the pool table where Peter Falk and Jack Lemmon are playing. Apparently, Peter Falk is a pretty good shot compared to everyone else. So, Tony instigates a partners game of straight pool for some small stakes. During the course of the game, one of the actors asks Jimmy what he does for a living. Jimmy tells them he is a dentist from Georgia. After a couple games, in which the scores were fairly close, it is Jimmy's shot after the opening break. Jimmy proceeds to run the entire game out, at which point Jack Lemmon declares, "If you are half as good a dentist as you are a poolplayer, you must be the best damn dentist in Georgia!"
