I just listed this on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120603430325
This is an excellent player with ebony Hoppe style rings that was made by Kaisan cues (Greg Wilson of Steepleton's in Lexington, KY - Kaisan is in the blue book of cues if you're interested - here's a link with contact info: http://www.onthecheese.com/otc/cues/index.html#kentucky). He makes about a dozen or less cues nowadays, so they are rare.
As you can see, it has a georgeous birdeye grip, east india rosewood forarm, phenolic buttcap and joint collars and a matching custom joint cap. It has one shaft that it is brand new, however it has been test hit. The shaft taper is a "bender style" taper, which is all I ever use nowadays (much better than the standard pro taper IMO). The weight is about 19.5 oz. and shaft diameter is about 13 mm. I've weighed and measured it a year ago or so, but can't remember the exact specs. I can measure and weigh it again if you're interested. The tip is a brand new Triangle.
Though the cue is not signed, the pin is engraved with the word "Kaisen", which is how Greg brands all of his cues. The pin itself is the same specs that are typical of Cognoscenti custom cues.
This cue rolls straight as an arrow and plays great (note: I am a firm believer that it is the indian and not the arrow that makes the player, i.e., this cue will not turn you into a champion on its own merits!) and has only one small crack in the finish that you can not see in the pictures (though too small to see, I want full disclosure about everything I sell).
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
- Neil
