FS: Kenny Murrell 8 point beauty

8 points of birdseye maple.
Grenadillo forearm.
Grenadillo handle.
Birdseye butt, buttcap, and joint.
Wood rings at A,B,C,D, and E (maple and red)

18.5 oz., two shafts approx 13mms. One shaft played with four times, the other only test hit. (matching grenadillo jp's)

This cue is naturally and perfectly forward balanced. The only parts of this cue that aren't wood are the brass radial pin and the rubber bumper.

Bought it for $1500 (because it is one of Kens first and few 8 pointers) BUT I'm selling below that. No set price but will listen to any offer. Cash, Trade, combination.

For the record, I'll probably end up selling for $1200ish (give or take). I'm selling for two reasons. One, I have come to the realization lately that, despite the beauty and solid play of this cue (which it truly does play solid), I am going to focus my future collection on James White and Paul Mottey. (maybe a Southwest if i find one with a Gancalo Alves or Pau Ferro forearm that I like).

...oh, and did I mention I could use the extra money? Well, not me but Mastercard. Those bastards!

Anyway, thanks for the interest. And like I said, despite my affinity for White and Mottey, I'm more than willing to listen to trade offers.

GREAT LOOKING CUE! As I mentioned in Hal's infamous thread, a CM here in the Bay Area has examined Murrells cues from the inside-out and believes they are one of the absolute best-made cues on the market.
 
1pRoscoe- You're right. I normally wouldn't sell anything at a price like this unless it was a Schon! ;)

Von- Yeah. These cues, and I've played with about 4 or 5 now, all played great. And they really are lookers too. This one is absolutely beautiful. The grain to the grenadillo is really something else. It almost has a reflective quality to it!

Anyway, thanks for all the compliments. I may not even sell. I may just shop it around down at Valley Forge. I may even keep it. But I figured for the moment, I could give it a good home in the hands of someone who knows cues, their value, and their playability unlike some who try to come off like experts but, well.... lets just say they fall Short!!! ;)

And deadstroke, I will probably be in touch. Thanks for the info.

I hate the whole "bump" thing so I'll just say what it is... I'm trying to keep this damn thread on the top of the list!

I still think you should wait for VA, just for the visual impact. That, or send the cue to Zeeder and have him take some pictures for you, lol.
