The term "Proto" does not add to the value of the cue. If you advertise that it is 1 of 45 this must be marked on the cue as such. If anything it means that there are potential defects before production of the LE started.

I'll second that

Prototype or Artist Proof cues are built by the manufacturer to have several varieties to fine tune colors, woods, and designs before the final cue is put into production. These Prototypes are from actual cues used in limited or special edition or regular production lines.

Just talked to Scott at Pechauer and Yes the Prototypes they make are more valuable. This cue is professionally made with No improfections and is a ONE OF A KIND INCREDIBLY RARE cue. I would be happy to answer ANY questions. Please email me directly at robertzack@comcast.net:smile:

as an FYI, this is not ebay or craigslist, things like "ONE OF A KIND SUPER RARE HELD BY MOSCONI AS HE DIED!" will just flag you as trying to pass off things that are not true, or at the least someone annoying to be put on the ignore list.

People who buy and sell on this site KNOW what is "rare" and "valuable", don't need to be told that. You say "so and so maker's cue, so many made, verified as a unique design with a LOA" and let the market take care of things.

I try to tell my kids that those green beans are REALLY TASTY, does not get me far either.

Sorry Guys. You are mistaken. "Proto" or Prototype in this case does ad much value. This is a one of a kind cue and has NO defects of any kind. Talked directly to Scott at Pechauer today and was told this cue is very rare and has MORE value that the cue made to resemble it.

Thanks. Bob Zack
