FS: Bill McDaniel 8 pt
the classic Q8 model: 8 hi-low Gabon ebony points into quilted/BEM with 72 ivory inlays. The forearm on this one is a very nice piece of maple!
8 ivory spears framed in ebony at the tip of each point.
8 ivory spears inlaid in each point.
The ebony rear of the cue is inlaid with 8 repeating patterns of up/down ivory spears with ivory diamonds offsetting the gaps on each side.
cue is straight together and apart with both shafts.
13.2mm shaft @ 4.1oz - 1/2 shorter than normal - no idea why...maybe a bank pool or 3cushion shaft with the thick diameter? almost zero runout/taper wiggle.
12.8mm shaft @ 4.2 oz !! Nice!- normal length - average taper wiggle -- changes light seen underneath but doesn't lift or go light/black when rolled.
butt weighs: 15 oz
total: 19.1/19.2 oz
one ding on bottom edge of butt cap...couple dings in forearm which are not through the clear coat. Guessing by the patina of the shafts its 8-10 yrs old minimum...so any movement would definitely have happened by now.
