For sale is a McDermott D-13, one of the 26 collectible D-series cues. This cue was made sometime between 1984 and 1990. It is at least 28 years old. The cue features 4 razor-sharp points into a piece of Bird’s-Eye Maple; each point has three veneers. The wrap is brown linen with white specs. The joint is flat-faced with a 3/8-10 screw. This cue is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. ONE SHAFT ROLLS DEAD STRAIGHT; THE OTHER SHAFT HAS A VERY SLIGHT TAPER ROLL IN THE MIDDLE, BUT HAS ZERO EFFECT ON PLAYABILITY.
The specs are perfect:
Length: 29 + 29 = 58 inches
Weight: 20.4 oz. with either shaft; the butt alone weighs 16.8 oz.
Shaft Diameters: 12.77 mm and 12.74 mm measured where the ferrules meet the shaft wood.
