EDIT: Everything in this post has sold. Thanks to all.
Hello All;
My friend is unfortunately nearing the end of the line. What a fine gentleman, a dynamic personality and he's been quite a good player for a long, long time, as well. Now, at 96 yo he has been placed in a permanent care facility. I am selling his remaining pool equipment and he certainly knew what quality was all about. No surprise at all that a couple of his items have me thoroughly impressed. I posted about this situation and these items last night in the main forum looking for some guidance on values but didn't get any responses - at least not about values so I'll take a shot at assigning what I feel are wholesale prices so they can all go to good new homes.
There is an Ariel Carmeli fancy sneaky dated 10-2007 that plays as good as any cue I've ever hit with. Seriously! It has 2 full shafts (12.9 & 13) with long slender pro tapers, is in good used condition with a few dings and rubs here and there (none a big deal), everything rolls straight, and it has a black linen wrap. This cue I think $SOLD shipped CONUS is a great deal.
Next is a very interesting (to me anyway since I never tried one before now) Mezz Power Break Deep Impact 2 that is about 4-5 inches shorter than standard 58" cues. Mezz apparently figures this creates more break speed and I can confirm this cue impressed me and 3 or 4 other guys who checked it out at the pool hall a couple days ago. My very first break, after contact with the 1b whitey went up in the air about 6 inches and and came back slightly landing pretty much dead center table. I have witnesses.
My very next break went off the table. I had witnesses for that, also. ;-( It wasn't the cue's fault. This thing hits super hard. It is 3 piece so it's a Jump/Break, and if you look where there are 3 silver rings all together, those can come off individually so you can adjust the weight to your liking. We took some turns jumping and it does this task with relative ease. Cue is in very nice used condition and rolls straight. I think $SOLD shipped CONUS would be a very reasonable price.
There is also a really nice Whitten style 2x4 case that appears to be very well made with not much use at all. Nice colors, too, imo. How about $SOLD PENDING PAYMENT shipped CONUS
There is an adjustable rear extension that slips over the butt end of a cue and tightens/loosens.. I'll prob get killed on shipping but I'll do $SOLD shipped CONUS.
The next cue is an old sneaky butt with an "M" stamped into the forearm. Not sure who made it, maybe one of you do? It comes with a shaft that screws on nicely appears to be ash or hickory and is def not original to this butt but it plays okay. Let's try $SOLD shipped Conus for that setup.
I also have a 2 piece jump cue, unknown maker, that one can be had for $SOLD shipped CONUS.
