FS: Mike Erwin Birdseye Maple

SOLD

Selling this cue I got about 3 years ago directly from Mike Erwin
If you don't already know Mr Erwin worked at the Meucci for many years
The cue he makes have a similar soft hit according to my experience, great to impart a lot of side spin on a ball.

The shaft has a slight roll, it hasn't been a problem for me playing.

It's a nice cue and plays great
If you want to feel the cue ball a little more this kind a cue with wood joint makes perfect sense, they are the one I prefer.

Specifications are
58"
18.5oz
13 1/8mm
Not sure of the tip brand

I think it's a good deal

I am planning to travel a bit during the holidays, if a sale is not concluded shortly I will put it on hold and resume early January

Morning bump
Not sold yet but some interests shown, might sell soon
That quality of work for that price, I still think it's a great deal!

The shaft is still perfectly straight
There is a slight roll when put together, hasn't been a problem for me playing.

So is the roll caused by the pin or the butt? Great price on a custom, just want to know if the butt is a little warp or if the pin is not straight.

I am no expert what is actually consider a roll but I can explain what I mean

When I roll my predator on a straight surface, it rolls on it with a constant sound
When I roll the Erwin on the same surface, both the butt and the shaft make a little wavy sound that tells you they are as straight as the predator. Weight distribution maybe ? I can't tell, but at no point anything lifts out of the table, together or appart. I have always considered that as normal for man made cue.For me the difference in a wobble and a roll it that lifting of part of the cue, which does not happen at all with this cue.

I am considering this cue straight, but not lazer straight as some people sometime mention in this forum.

And as you say, for a custom cue, I think the next owner will be pretty satisfied with it considering this low price.

[EDIT] based on discussion it is establish that the shaft has a slight roll per conventional definition, sorry for the confusion

That is a helluva price! I wish it wasn't the holidays. I would be on it like white on rice. Cant believe it is not sold yet.

im confused i guess.. in the start u say theres a roll to it meaning its not straight? then in post reply below u say that it makes sound? but there isnt any part that comes off table and its straigth together AND apart..so please explain which it is? does it have soem roll or wobble to it or is it straight?

I guess you are right
My descriptions are confusing, apologies for that, inexperience on sale and desire for the most honest description are probably the reason why

To clear this out I just made a little video of rolling a predator shaft compared with the Erwin shaft, I will send it to any serious buyer

I realize now that straight and rolling and exclusive from each other
One thing for sure this cue has no wobble
So this there is a roll and anyone who want's to see it just PM me

I adjusted the initial post accordingly
