Yes it’s piloted brass insert

From cuetec this shaft only fits 5/16x14 standard pin ie Joss Schon etc it would only screw down on a non standard custom pin such as Tascarella or black boar etc two-three turns. The shaft insert has been tapped to now fits majority of 5/16x14 custom cue pins and standard alike
